Clay Sports 2026

Daniel Boone has a proud history of participation with and promotion of Clays Sports. This includes traditional Trap and Skeet, as well as the growing sport of 5-Stand.

Please join us, as all our leagues are open to the public and non-members.

Individual shooters are welcome, as there is no need to be on a team and/or compete in a league to shoot on our scheduled clays nights.

The bar is open on clays nights for sodas, beer, wine, pizzas and other snacks.

Save on costs by purchasing a Pre-Paid Shooting card.

Note:  Prices, nights, activites are all subject to change during clays seasons.

Galactic Clays (first session)

Out of this world experience:

We will turn off the regular lights and turn on the UV black lights!
The clay birds are fluorescent, so they will glow in stark contrast to the night sky.

Thursday - January 8 to February 26, 2026
  • 5-Stand & Trap.
  • 25 Bird rounds.
  • 5:00 pm to 9:30 pm slots.
  • Start time depends on darkness.
  • $12 Members, $15 Non-Members.
  • No league or teams. Individual shooters.

Spring Clays

Wednesday & Thursday - March 25 to May 14, 2026 (8 weeks)
  • 25 bird rounds 5-Stand and Trap, 30 bird rounds Hunt & Cover.
  • 5:00 pm Start and last sign-up at 7:30 pm.
  • 50 bird 5-Stand.
  • 25 bird Trap: $9 Member, $12 Non-Member.
  • Hunt & Cover; $10 Members, $12 Non-Members (team).
  • Can shoot on league with team or as solo/practice.
  • Beer Birds and other fun activities.

Wednesday & Thursday
  • 5-Stand, Trap, Hunt & Cover

Summer Clays

Wednesday & Thursday - May 27 to August 27, 2026 (14 weeks)
  • 50 bird rounds 5-Stand, $18 Member, $24 Non-Member, $14 Youth.
  • 25 bird rounds Skeet, and Trap, 30 bird rounds Hunt & Cover.
  • 5:00 pm start and last sign-up at 8:00 pm.
  • 5-Stand, Trap and Skeet: $9 Members, $12 Non-Members.
  • Hunt & Cover: $10 Members, $12 Non-Members (team).
  • Can shoot on league with team or as solo/practice.
  • Beer Birds and other fun activities.

Fall Clays

  • 5:00 pm Start and last sign-up at 8:00 pm.
  • All 25 bird events: $9 Member, $12 Non-Member.
  • No teams.  Can shoot on league or as solo.
  • Beer Birds and other fun activities.

4 "Games": 5-Stand, Wobble, "Puller's Choice", and Slider.


Galactic Clays (second session)

Thursday - November 5 to December 17, 2026 (off November 26)
  • 5-Stand & Trap.
  • 25 Bird rounds.
  • 5:00 pm to 9:30 pm slots.

  • $12 Members, $15 Non-Members.
  • No league or teams. Individual shooters.

Non-League Shooting

DBCL members can be certified to use clays machines on their own during open club hours as long as there is nothing scheduled on the clays fields.  To get certified, show up on a league night or call a Clays Committee member to schedule instruction.  Once certified, you can buy birds with a credit card from the kiosk in the clubhouse vestibule.
